Happy New Year & Look Back On 2014!

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a safe and happy new year! What a year 2014 has been! It was my first full year having two children to bring up as well as many other firsts too! While there have been many ups and down this year overall it has been a great year.

Some of the highlights of 2014 have to be firsts with my little family. We went on our first ever mini holiday together to Clacton-on-Sea. It may not sound glamorous but Clacton is my favourite beach in the UK because it is the one me and my family went to every year when I was little so it only felt right to take my children there too! We stayed overnight so got a couple of nice days in the sun on the beach together. We had our first family trip to the Zoo. We went to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo and had a lovely day looking at all of the animals and playing in the children's area. It's also when we found out that Jonathan's skin is pretty sensitive to pollen! That was a shock to the system, don't worry though he was completely fine.

Jonathan has grown from an 12 week old little baby into a 14 month, walking, babbling little man who has such an amazing personality. You forget just how much they learn as they are growing up. He was walking at 11 months old and is now practically running.  By time 2015 is over he'll be talking and growing fast into a toddler! Stop growing now baby! Ha ha!

A low point in the year is when I lost my lovely Nanna. I know she watches over my children and that brings me a lot of comfort. I also had to break off a relationship with a close family member as, although we were close, it was pretty toxic and brought me down a lot of the time.

Overall I'm grateful for all the life lessons I have been given this year and for the relationships that have grown stronger and happier. I'm looking forward to seeing what 2015 has to bring for me and my little family. I hope you have a great start to your year and that it is the best one yet!
